Vocal show
The Performing Arts Society of Nevada will present a show of ballads and cabaret standards by vocal artist Prentice Minner and Company at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Admission is $10. 658-6741.
'Tapestry'
The Nevada Youth Alliance Presents John Rothman's "Tapestry," a musical revue featuring folk, swing, rock and roll, classical ballet, disco, rap, big band jazz, pop and soul music, at 7 p.m. today and at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday at the Community College of Southern Nevada's Horn Theatre, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave. Admission is free. 393-6163.
Concerts
The District at Green Valley Ranch continues its concert series with the following performances this week:
5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today -- David "The Saxman" Brown, performing contemporary R&B.
5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday -- Flip Street, performing R&B.
Theater
'Shrew'
The Nevada Theatre Company presents Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Summerlin Centre Community Park, 1800 Town Center Drive. Tickets are $10 for Summerlin residents, $15 general public. 791-4275.
