Free movie

Spring Fling Festival

Las Vegas presents a Spring Fling Festival from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Halle Hewetson Elementary School, 701 N. 20th St. Admission is free, and refreshments will be available. 229-2158.

Poets' corner

Keith Brantley and Pendelita Toney will host a poets' corner, featuring open-mike participants, at 7:30 p.m. today at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Admission is free. 229-4800.

'Together Festival'

Las Vegas presents a free "All Of Us Together Festival" from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Stupak Community Center, 300 W. Boston Ave. Activities include foods, crafts, games, raffles and a car show. 229-2488.

'Last Chance Dance'

Las Vegas presents a "Last Chance Dance" from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the Johnson Junior High School gymnasium, 7701 Ducharme Ave. Tickets are $30 per couple and $20 for individuals. Bring current and high school photos to be scanned in for inclusion in a slide show. 229-6175.

Health, fitness day

Las Vegas presents a Senior Health and Fitness Day from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Bill and Lillie Heinrich YMCA, 4141 Meadows Lane. Admission is free, and a free lunch will be served for those who register in advance. 242-7791.

'Bats in the Park'

The Nevada State Museum, 700 Twin Lakes Drive, presents the free program "Bats in the Park" at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Naturalist George Baumgardner, Ph.D., will present his program at the museum, followed by a chance to spot some bats around the park as dusk settles. 486-5205, ext. 227.

Creole Festival

The 21st annual Creole Festival Internationale will be held from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Clark County Government Center Ampitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. The program features lives music, zydeco dance lessons, arts and crafts sales and Creole cuisine. Admission is $12 adults, $5 children and seniors, or $20 for both days. 455-8200.

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District presents the following films as part of its film series this month:
