Longtime boxing writer Jack Welsh, who died April 24 in Las Vegas, will be buried Friday at the Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City.
Welsh, a corporal in the Marine Corps from 1943 to 1946, will be buried with a full military honor guard. A Marine chaplain, Marvin Gant, will officiate. Services will begin at 10:40 a.m.
Welsh was 80, according to military records.
Special thanks go to Top Rank chairman Bob Arum, who paid all outstanding expenses for the burial not covered by the military.
