First building in furniture market nears completion

Construction crews worked on completing the first building at the World Market Center in downtown Las Vegas. Tenants are scheduled to begin moving into the 1.3 million-square-foot building June 1, and the first Las Vegas furniture market will run from July 25 to 29. In total, 12 million square feet of exhibit space is planned for the 57-acre site with construction scheduled to wrap up in 2015. Total costs are expected to reach $2 billion.
