Monday, May 16, 2005 | 9:47 a.m.

North Las Vegas Police are investigating the stabbing death of a construction worker who argued with another man Saturday in a northwest Las Vegas parking lot.

Police discovered a man, identified as Danette Dewinter Johnson III, 27, of Las Vegas, lying in the parking lot at 4771 W. Craig Road at 7:45 p.m. with a single stab wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Officer Sean Walker, North Las Vegas Police spokesman, said.

Walker said Johnson had been walking from a construction site and got into an argument with another man. The confrontation escalated and Johnson was stabbed once in the upper chest.
