National Missing Children’s Day

A child safety day informational fair will be 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at Circus Circus' Adventuredome theme park, to honor National Missing Children's Day, May 25, which was designated by President Reagan in 1979.

The event will offer information for parents, children and caregivers, "Child ID" kits from Nevada Child Seekers for parents to provide to authorities and the media in the unlikely event that a child is missing. Nevada Child Seekers will take a photo of your child, obtain fingerprints, assist you with filling out an identification data sheet, and the entire kit is yours to keep in a safe place at home or when you travel.

The Nevada Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General hosts the Nevada Missing Children Clearinghouse, and works with agencies statewide and outside of the state, and internationally, to secure the safe recovery of missing children. For further information, call 486-3539 or visit the Web site at http://ag.state.nv.us.
