Kenneth E. Acker
Kenneth E. Acker, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 13, 1930, in Wheeling, W.Va. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired shift manager in the gaming industry and a Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalee; and two daughters, Sue Phillips and Linda Linden, both of Henderson.
Graveside services will be 8:40 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, UT 84741.
Linda Cecilia Bobbitt
Linda Cecilia Bobbitt, 55, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 26, 1950, in San Bernardino, Calif. A resident for 10 years, she was a sales representative.
She is survived by two brothers, Stephen B. Bobbitt of North Las Vegas and Dale Bobbitt of Tarzana, Calif.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Janet A. Edison
Janet A. Edison, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born May 30, 1933, in Cincinnati. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, William E. Jr.; one son, Barry W. Edison of Phoenix; one daughter, Amy N. Edison of Las Vegas; and one brother, Richard Jones of Cincinnati.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Marion Hunkins
Marion Hunkins, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 30, 1930, in Arlington, Mass. A resident for 42 years, she was a retired porcelain doll maker.
She is survived by three daughters, Rosemary Gsell of Deer Isle, Maine, Bonny-Jean Melchor of Las Vegas and Gail Barrett of Cromwell, Ind.; two sons, Robert P. Hunkins of Las Vegas and David C. Hunkins of Gainesville, Fla.; 22 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today and 10-11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Thomas Walter Johnston Jr.
Thomas Walter Johnston Jr., 80, of Mesquite died Thursday in St. George, Utah. He was born May 28, 1924, in Philadelphia. A former Las Vegas resident, he owned and operated Tom's Cycle Center, owned a service station in Los Angeles and was a World War II Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine; one son, Thomas Walter Johnston III; and one grandson, Eric.
He is survived by one son, Clyde Russell "Russ" Johnston of Pahrump; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 East Old Mill Road, Mesquite. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Vance V. LaDuke
Vance V. LaDuke, 35, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. An electrical wholesale quotations manager at Graybar Electric, he was born June 6, 1969, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by one daughter, Kayla LaDuke and her mother Amy, one son, Kyler LaDuke and his mother Maggie, his parents, Duane and Donna "Bobbi" La Duke, and one brother, Aaron LaDuke, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Vivian LaDuke and Elsie and Leo Osweiler.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
The family suggests donations to Nevada Junior Scholastic Trapshooting League.
Michael A. Lopez II
Michael A. Lopez II, 17, of Las Vegas died Sunday. He was born Aug. 13, 1987, in Las Vegas. A resident for 17 years, he was a senior at Sierra Vista High School.
He is survived by his father, Michael Lopez, his mother, Julie Bella, one brother, Chase Lopez, and his grandmother, Mary Susan Freeman, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m.-noon Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. A memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Friday in Calvary Chapel of Spring Valley, 7175 W. Oquendo Road.

Bobby R. Morrison
Bobby R. Morrison, 17, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 13, 1988, in Woodland, Calif. A resident for 10 years, he was a junior at Sierra Vista High School.
He is survived by his parents, Russell and Teri Morrison, one sister, Kristen Morrison, and one brother, Ryan Morrison, all of Las Vegas; his grandparents, Wayne and Lois Sugarman of Las Vegas and David and Janice Kreiner of Reseda, Calif.; and his great-grandmother, Adeline Kreiner of Reseda.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Thomas Edward Nacos, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 26, 1924, in Galena, Ill. A resident for 44 years, he was a retired gaming executive and a World War II veteran of the Merchant Marines.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta J.; one son, Thomas R. Nacos, and one daughter, Caryn Nacos Kelly, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until a noon service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
Ernestine C. Patrick
Ernestine C. Patrick, 75, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 5, 1929, in Phoenix, Ill. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired retail processing clerk.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kim Patrick.
She is survived by five sons, Douglas Holloway of Las Vegas, Victor Holloway, Darryll Patrick and Russell Patrick, all of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and Anthony Patrick of Little Rock, Ark.; three daughters, Jennifer Stewart of Henderson, Crystal Holloway of Park Forest, Ill., and Michelle Patrick of Wilkes-Barre; 40 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Andrew Paul
Andrew Paul, 49, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 15, 1956, in Boulder City. A lifelong resident, he was a Clark County School District custodian.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A.; two sons, Tony Paul and Alex Paul, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Barbara Mayer of Gardnerville.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
James E. Quinn Sr.
James E. Quinn Sr., 84, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Nov. 1, 1920, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired civil service security officer, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Castagnacci.
He is survived by his wife, Karen S.; one son, James E. Quinn Jr. of North Las Vegas; and one daughter, Jacqueline Truax of Sun City, Calif.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Ruth Rose
Ruth Rose, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 25, 1928, in Perth Amboy, N.J. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker, a life member of Hadassah and past president of the United Ostomy Association of New York City.
She is survived by her husband, Fred.
Graveside services were scheduled at noon today in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, handled arrangements.

Carl H. Traberg
Carl H. Traberg, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 21, 1919, in Copenhagen, Denmark. A resident for two years, he was a retired civil engineer, a veteran of the Danish Navy and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by three daughters, Debra Ellen of North Las Vegas, Tamera Traberg of Las Vegas and Cynthia Allen of Oriskany, N.Y.; one sister, Ellen of Copenhagen; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Wanda F. Wood
Wanda F. Wood, 74, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born March 6, 1931, in Wichita Falls, Texas. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired waitress.
She is survived by her husband, William; one son, William L. Wood of Las Vegas; two daughters, Sharon Barnhill of Salida, Colo., and Kelli Slotten of Henderson; one sister, Shirley Duffy of Upland, Calif.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
