Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air plans flights to South Dakota's Black Hills region beginning in July, the privately held airline announced.
Nonstop round trips between McCarran International Airport and Rapid City, S.D., Regional Airport are planned twice a week beginning July 6.
Flights will be operated on 150-seat twin-engine MD-80 series jets on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Flights will leave Las Vegas at 8 a.m., arriving at 11:25 a.m., and return at 12:05 p.m., arriving at McCarran at 1:25 p.m.
It will be the 18th nonstop market for Allegiant, which already offers service to Sioux Falls, in eastern South Dakota.
