So, Mom, where do you want to eat on Mother's Day? Wherever you choose to go, you'll have a wonderful time. Here are some choices for Sunday:
The Creole-themed Commander's Palace inside Desert Passage mall at the Aladdin will feature an authentic New Orleans jazz brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. All of the items mentioned here are a la carte; you can also try a little bit of everything with the brunch package ($36) that includes a choice of an "Eye Opener," appetizer, entree and dessert.
Start your brunch with a kick with Commander's special Bloody Mary or champagne mimosa or a nonalcoholic choice. Appetizers are $8.50 each. Included are the soup or gumbo du jour, beignets, New Orleans-style barbecued fried oysters with leeks, shrimp remoulade and more.
Main courses are $21.50 each. Included are such famous New Orleans egg dishes as eggs Sardou served over artichoke bottoms, eggs Versailles, paneed pork chop Milanese and pan-seared gulf shrimp Creole and other Creole creations.
Desserts, $8, are yummy -- chocolate bourbon pecan tart, the ubiquitous Bananas Foster, Creole opera cake and molten chocolate beignets are but a few of the many offered. For reservations call 892-8272. Dinner service begins at 5:30 p.m.
Mother's Day at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab at the Forum Shops at Caesars includes some special treats. Mothers will receive a petite spring flower corsage, Joe's signature, and hand-dipped chocolate-covered strawberries.
Lunch reservations are available from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; dinner reservations are offered from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. To book a table call 792-9222.

Moms can indulge at Wolfgang Puck's Spago and Chinois in the Forum Shops, Postrio in the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian, Trattoria del Lupo at Mandalay Bay and the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grille inside the MGM Grand.
At Spago, award-winning Corporate Executive Chef David Robins will present Mother's Day brunch items that include house-made granola with assorted berries and vanilla yogurt parfait or brioche French toast with warm Vermont maple syrup and fresh fruit.
Or choose the splendid crisp potato galette with scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and black caviar or a chilled shrimp with cocktail sauce, horseradish and lemon.
At the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grille, Executive Chef Marc Djozlija has created a special entree selection that includes seared sea scallops served with lemon risotto and English pea coulis. A tri-color chocolate mousse is accompanied by chocolate-dipped strawberries.
