Las Vegas contractor pleads guilty to perjury

Sandy Onofre, owner of OMC Builder and a principal in CDS Construction Defect Specialists LLC -- both general contractors based out of Las Vegas -- pleaded guilty to perjury for failure to disclose prior felony convictions on an application for a contractor's license.

Onofre was sentenced by Clark County District Court to 12 to 32 months in Nevada State Prison, suspended, two years probation, fined $1,000 and ordered to pay restitution of $1,800.

CDS Construction Defect Specialists was licensed in October 2003 and OMC Builder was licensed July 2002. Both licenses were summarily suspended Aug. 10 and revoked on Dec. 7 because of the misrepresentations by Onofre, according to the Contractors Board.
