Major show signs 15-year deal with Las Vegas

The National Association of Home Builders and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority have signed a 15-year contract to bring the International Builders Show to the Las Vegas Convention Center through 2020.

The show, ranked the 15th largest among the Tradeshow Week 200, has an average attendance of 105,000 people, with about 1,600 exhibitors displaying on nearly 900,000 square feet.

The association has rotated its show to various venues and first appeared in Las Vegas in 1978. The LVCVA estimates the show will produce a nongaming economic impact of $1.2 billion on the city through 2020.
