Helen Abrams
Helen Abrams, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born April 1, 1928, in Garfield, N.J. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker and a Navy veteran.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; one daughter, Jan Miner-Kane of San Marcos, Calif.; one son, Gary A. Abrams of Denver; and two grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private arrangements.
Arlene F. Barg
Arlene F. Barg, 78, of Las Vegas died Feb. 18 in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 30, 1926, in Mallard, Iowa. A resident for one year, she was a retired special education teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Roger H.; two daughters, Anita L. Strong of Las Vegas and Ona B. Hale of Pine Grove, Calif.; one son, David W. Barg of Los Alamitos, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Jean Kenne of Pocahontas, Iowa, and Helen Fokken of Las Cruces, N.M.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Donald Campbell
Donald Campbell, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 6, 1924, in Great Falls, Mont. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired barber and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Belle; and two daughters, Sheila Oliver of Cheney, Wash., and Gwen McGovern of Spokane Valley, Wash.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Nanette Cook
Nanette Cook, 43, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 29, 1961, in California. A resident for nine years, she was an accountant.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie; one daughter, Jamie Cook, and one son, Christopher Cook, both of Henderson; her mother, Gail Downing of Oakland, Calif.; and her father, Gary Calou of California.
A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Clyde 'Alan' Davis
Clyde "Alan" Davis, 65, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 10, 1939, in Hutchinson, Kan. A resident for 43 years, he was a head carpenter in the entertainment industry and a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees union.
He is survived by three sisters, Nancy Arneklev of Billings, Mont., Frances Moe of Las Vegas and Lola Bishop of Sunland, Calif.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Sherry Glikman
Sherry Glikman, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 26, 1921, in Detroit. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker, a life member of Hadassah and a member of Women's American Overseas Rehabilitation Training.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; one daughter, Aura Miller of Las Vegas; two sisters, Jeanine and Mary; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 3 p.m. today in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Alzheimer's Association, Southern Nevada Chapter, 5190 S. Valley View Blvd., Suite 101, Las Vegas, NV 89118.
Harry H. Howard
Harry H. Howard, 58, of Las Vegas died Tuesday. He was born Feb. 25, 1947, in Jackson, Miss. A resident for 50 years, he worked in hotel housekeeping.
He is survived by his wife, Arlinda; six daughters, Shemika Liggins, Crystal Evans, Felicia McGhee, Shannon Howard and Tiaundra Howard, all of Las Vegas, and Tina of Mississippi; one son, Devin Howard of Las Vegas; six brothers; one sister; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be noon Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Ruby McEntire
Ruby McEntire, 64, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. A freight company dispatcher, she was born April 21, 1940, in Shelby, N.C.
She is survived by one son, Rusty Blanton of Las Vegas; and one daughter, Kim Lail of Waco, N.C.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Margaret Elizabeth Preston
Margaret Elizabeth Preston, 89, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 29, 1916, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 66 years, she was a licensed practical nurse at Sunrise Hospital, a member of the Las Vegas Women's Auxiliary (railroad) and Elks.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Preston and Pamela Preston Wade, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-5 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Monday at the Eighth and Franklin LDS chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Esther 'Marie' Tinney
Esther "Marie" Tinney, 82, of Boulder City died March 17 in Boulder City. A resident for 27 years, she was born Dec. 19, 1922, in Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheila Sue Garcia.
She is survived by one daughter, Janice Kay Vint; three sons, Gary Kenneth Campbell, Larry Ray Tinney and Michael Shay Tinney; three stepchildren, Jack Sherman Tinney,Kathrine Annette Jordan and Joseph Fredrick Tinney; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.

Henry W. Weiss
Henry W. Weiss, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born May 15, 1933, in Boston. A resident for eight years, he was a retired venture capitalist and a member of the Elks.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; and two daughters, Denise Tillack of Ashland, Va., and Suzette Weiss of Gilbert, Ariz.
