Barn dance

Las Vegas' Cultural Affairs Division presents an "Old Time Barn Dance" from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Charleston Heights Arts Center ballroom, 800 S. Brush St. Admission is $6 adults, $5 members, $3 students and active military, free for children under 15. 229-6383.

Spring Festival

The Henderson Parks and Recreation Department is hosting its annual Spring Festival from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Valley View Recreation Center, 500 Harris St. Admission is free. 267-5850.

Shashi Caan lecture

Shashi Caan, principal of Shashi Caan Collective and chair of Interior Design at Parsons School of Design in New York, will lecture on "Design: Visual and Vocabulary," at 7 p.m. Wednesday at UNLV's Paul Sogg Architecture Building as part of the School of Architecture's "Klai Juba" lecture series. Easter celebration

The District at Green Valley Ranch will host an Easter celebration from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free, and activities include pictures with the Easter Bunny and cookie decorating. 564-8595.
