Barn dance
Las Vegas' Cultural Affairs Division presents an "Old Time Barn Dance" from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Charleston Heights Arts Center ballroom, 800 S. Brush St. Admission is $6 adults, $5 members, $3 students and active military, free for children under 15. 229-6383.
Spring Festival
The Henderson Parks and Recreation Department is hosting its annual Spring Festival from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Valley View Recreation Center, 500 Harris St. Admission is free. 267-5850.
Shashi Caan lecture
Shashi Caan, principal of Shashi Caan Collective and chair of Interior Design at Parsons School of Design in New York, will lecture on "Design: Visual and Vocabulary," at 7 p.m. Wednesday at UNLV's Paul Sogg Architecture Building as part of the School of Architecture's "Klai Juba" lecture series. Admission is free. 895-3031.
Easter celebration
The District at Green Valley Ranch will host an Easter celebration from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free, and activities include pictures with the Easter Bunny and cookie decorating. 564-8595.
