Florence Stirling Adams
Florence Stirling Adams, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 26, 1924, in Leeds, Utah. A resident for more than 35 years, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Charlene Knell, Ilene Seegmiller and Elaine Sorenson; and one brother, Leslie.
She is survived by one son, Lawrence; one sister, Katherine Christensen; three brothers, Thomas Eldon, Merrill and Culbert; and one granddaughter.
Services will be one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Thursday in the LDS Osage/Pecos chapel. Burial will be in Leeds. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests contributions toward expenses.
James Robert Birchler
James Robert Birchler, 45, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 4, 1960, in Glendale, Calif. A resident for 14 years, he was an electrician.
He is survived by his father, John Birchler of Pennsylvania; and one sister, Diane Harmon of Marysville, Calif.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Concepcion Santaella 'Connie' Cervantes
Concepcion Santaella "Connie" Cervantes, 59, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born May 27, 1945, in El Paso, Texas. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Youth Organization and United Service Organization, both in El Paso.
She is survived by three daughters, Laura McKenzie of Henderson and Celina Sorensen and Gabriela Esparza, both of Las Vegas; her mother, Concepcion Santaella, and one sister, Christina Santaella, both of El Paso; six brothers, Adalberto Santaella Jr. of West Covina, Calif., Ignacio Santaella of Victorville, Calif., Oscar Santaella and Baltazar Santaella, both of El Paso, and Henry Santaella and Robert Santaella, both of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Oscar Ferreyra
Oscar Ferreyra, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 8, 1936, in Argentina. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired maintenance man for a disposal company.
He is survived by one son, Steven Ferreyra of Las Vegas; three brothers, Ismael Ferreyra of Lafayette, Ind., and Olegario Ferreyra and Esteban Ferreyra, both of Argentina; one sister, Gregoria Ferreyra of Argentina; and his companion, Laura Dettler of Las Vegas.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling private arrangements.
Mildred Hughes
Mildred Hughes, 84, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 23, 1920, in Clifton, Idaho. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Finkelstein of Hurricane, Utah, and Gerri Jacks of Henderson; two sons, E. Allen Hughes of Sandy, Utah, and James Hughes of Henderson; one sister, LaVerne Holman of Eureka, Utah; one brother, Claude Henderson of Rexburg, Idaho; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 1 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will be in Boulder City Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd.
Jesse Lee 'Whiskey' Jenkins
Jesse Lee "Whiskey" Jenkins, 65, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 8, 1939, in Louisiana. A resident for 53 years, he was a maintenance laborer.
He is survived by five sons, Tony R. O'Neal, Andre Jenkins, Larry Jenkins and Gilbert Richard, all of Las Vegas, and Micheal Richard of Louisiana; two daughters, Sheila Benard and Valarie Jenkins, his mother, Easter Jenkins, and five sisters, Ruth Harts, Mary Mitchell, Margaret Wilson, Joyce Williams and Inez Addison, all of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Thursday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Cyndi Kilpatrick- Giannopoulos
Cyndi Kilpatrick-Giannopoulos, 25, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Nov. 12, 1979, in Casa Grande, Ariz.
She is survived by her husband, Peter Giannopoulos; and one daughter, Corena Garcia of Las Vegas.
Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Iris Lucille Primm Martin
Iris Lucille Primm Martin, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 11, 1926, in Filton, Ark. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Ronald Martin of Channelview, Texas, Bill Martin of Las Vegas and Gary Martin of Chula Vista, Calif.; two daughters, Donna Heilman and Pamela Knouse, both of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 3 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Cemetery.
Janice Marie Richmond
Janice Marie Richmond, 50, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 16, 1954, in California. A resident for 13 years, she was a registered nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Warren Jones; two sons, Anthony Jones and Alexander Jones; three sisters, Sharon O'Donnell, Elaine Richmond and Cynthia Lefor; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. April 9 at Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Deborah Jolley Rolf
Deborah Jolley Rolf, 52, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 8, 1953, in North Hollywood, Calif. A resident for 50 years, she was a retired loan officer for a mortgage company and a member of the Rotary Club.
She is survived by three sons, Billie Morrison of Prescott, Ariz., and Darren Morrison and Roger Morrison, both of St. George, Utah; her father, Howard Jolley, and one brother, Greg Jolley, both of Mesquite; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Barbara 'Bobbi' Scheffer
Barbara "Bobbi" Scheffer, 69, of Las Vegas died March 16 in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 9, 1935, in California. A resident for 27 years, she was a bookkeeper.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Sr.; three sons, Louis Scheffer Jr., Bret Scheffer and Randy Scheffer; one brother, Joe Smith; four sisters, Betty J. Romans, Gloria Engle, Glenna Berg and Linda Lucey; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled 11 a.m.-noon today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by graveside services at 1:20 p.m. in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Steven Lee Smith
Steven Lee Smith, 42, of Henderson died Monday in a local health care center. He was born July 30, 1962, in Dallas. A resident for more than 23 years, he was a disabled electrician and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Phyllis and Donald Jordan of Henderson; his father, William Smith of Lake Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Robert Smith of Henderson and Mike Smith of Las Vegas; one stepsister, B.J. Wayland of Dallas; and two stepbrothers, Gary Jordan of Carrollton, Texas, and Don Jordan of Modesto, Calif.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 3 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Walter L. 'Butch' Stecher
Walter L. "Butch" Stecher, 60, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 16, 1944, in New York City. A resident for two years, he was a retired hospital file clerk, a Vietnam War Army veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by six brothers, Richard Stecher of New York City, William Stecher of Missoula, Mont., Nicholas Stecher of Goshen, N.Y., Robert Stecher of Las Vegas, Kevin Stecher of Hercules, Calif., and Raymond Stecher of Staten Island, N.Y.; and two sisters, Margaret Stecher and Alice Ziel, both of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Irwin G. Stern
Irwin G. Stern, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 19, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired owner-operator of an art restoration shop and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine J.; one son, Arthur R. Stern, one daughter, Linda D. Stern, and one sister, Joyce Stein, all of Las Vegas; and one granddaughter.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today and one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
Alfred Sucher
Alfred Sucher, 92, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born March 21, 1913, in Cleve, Germany. A resident for 1 1/2 years, he was a retired accountant.
He is survived by one daughter, Evelyn Kavana of Las Vegas; one brother, Kurt Sucher of Bedford, England; and one grandson, Michael Kavana of Waltham, Mass.
No local services are scheduled. Services will be in New Jersey. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. is handling arrangements.
Donald E. Takas
Donald E. Takas, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Boulder City. He was born March 5, 1927, in Ohio. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired Navy veteran and a member of the Masons and the Shriners.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; five sons, Ron, James, Robert, Richard and Jason; one daughter, Cammie; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
