Ethel G. Bruges
Ethel G. Bruges, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 20, 1930, in Wantagh, N.Y., she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Tony; one daughter, Rose of Las Vegas; two sons, Anthony Bruges and Richard Bruges.
A memorial service will be noon Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Olga S. Carlton
Olga S. Carlton, 99, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 1, 1905, in New York. A resident for one year, she was a phone operator for the military and a member of the California Upland Women's Club.
She is survived by one sister, Ann Randall.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Bettie V. Davis
Bettie V. Davis, 75, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 27, 1929, in Maryland. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired real estate agent.
She is survived by her husband, Roscoe; one son, Robert Gossard of Pahrump; one daughter, Bonnie Elliott of Jessup, Md.; one brother, Douglas Gossard of Damascus, Md.; and four grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangments.
Martha E. Farris
Martha E. Farris, 92, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born Oct. 7, 1912, in Perrysburg Township, Ohio. A resident for 53 years, she was a retired hotel housekeeper.
She is survived by four daughters, Rosalie G. Hart, Joanne C. Farris and Judith A. Durkin, all of Henderson, and Nancy J. Hill of Grants Pass, Ore.; two sons, Delmar M. Farris Jr. of Carson City and David Farris of Henderson; 22 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Jehovah's Witness Church, 601 Arrowhead, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson is handling arrangements.
Kenneth Gilmore Jr.
Kenneth Gilmore Jr., 19, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born May 8, 1985, in Indiana. A resident for 11 years, he was a houseman at a hotel.
He is survived by one daughter, Emoni Gilmore, one son, Kenneth Gilmore III, his mother, Dorothy Jones, and two sisters, Brandy Newton and Sharon Newton, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Thomas and Jones Chapel. Burial will follow in Davis' Memorial Park.
Durward E. Koonce
Durward E. Koonce, 67, of Henderson died Monday in a local care center. He was born Jan. 11, 1938, in Kinston, N.C. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired program director for the federal government, a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Senior Friends.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa; three sons, Randy Koonce of Las Vegas and James Koonce and Kenny Koonce, both of Raleigh, N.C.; one daughter, Jennifer Koonce of Henderson; one sister, Della Anne Jones of Raleigh; and seven grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling private arrangements.
Stanley Lerner
Stanley Lerner, 64, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born May 10, 1940, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired chef.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy; one son, Jay Lerner of Los Angeles; and one daughter, Alyse Childers of Las Vegas.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89123. Burial will follow.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Bradley Matthew Maierson
Bradley Matthew Maierson, 1 month, 18 days old, of Henderson died in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 1, 2005, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his parents, Mark and Amy Lynne Maierson of Henderson; his grandparents, Mark and Rose Maierson, both of Littleton, Colo., and Mark and Sherri Bradley, both of Boulder City.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the March of Dimes, 51 N. Pecos, No. 110, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
John Milton O'Leary
John Milton O'Leary, 68, of Las Vegas died March 10 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 11, 1936, in Philadelphia. A resident for 19 years, he was an electronics game mechanic at Bally manufacturing, a Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Viola; two daughters, Annette Trapp of Las Vegas and Katy Lynn O'Leary of California; two sons, Kevin O'Leary and Michael John O'Leary, both of California; his mother, Naomi O'Leary of Florida; one sister, Barbara Blaisdell of California; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 12:40 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
