Editorial: Peeping tomfoolery

Monday, March 21, 2005 | 9:23 a.m.

Astonishingly, nothing in Nevada law makes it a crime to walk onto someone's property and peer through their windows or doors. That's because the state's "peeping Tom" law was struck down in 1992 by the Nevada Supreme Court, which ruled it was too vague. No law was ever written to take its place.

Assembly Bill 90, a new and specific peeping Tom law, is being considered by the Legislature. This bill should be approved faster than you can draw your blinds.
