As a 25-year resident, a graduate of UNLV, a taxpayer and community service volunteer, I urge my fellow smokers to use their ashtrays. Flipping lit cigarette butts out of the car window is dangerous, messy and dumb.
And for you secret smokers, who dangle your cigarettes out the car window rather than leave ashes in your car, go buy a beanbag ashtray for 99 cents.
This is our home. Let us keep it clean.
