East Coast discount flier AirTran Airways will expand its Las Vegas service with additional flights to and from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport, the airline announced Wednesday.
Orlando, Fla.-based AirTran, which already has two round trips a day to and from Dallas and Atlanta, will add a third flight to each city beginning May 4.
The new flights will use twin-engine Boeing 737 and 717 jets and is part of the airline's western expansion.
AirTran competes on the Atlanta route with Delta and America West Airlines and to Dallas-Fort Worth with American and America West.
