Names of crash victims released

The coroner's office has released the names of two of the people killed in a triple fatal collision Sunday morning at Sahara Avenue and Fremont Street.

Julius Yncierto Roma, 49, and Julianne Roma, 6, both of Las Vegas, were killed when a 1996 Toyota Rav 4 driven by Richard Alvardo-Romero, 29, ran a red light, police said. Alvarado-Romero was charged with four counts of felony DUI, police said.

The Romas were passengers in a 1996 Mercury Villager driven by Luz Villaroma, 42. Another passenger in Villaroma's vehicle was also killed, but that person's name had not yet been released Monday afternoon.

Motorcyclist who died in ID'd

The motorcyclist killed Saturday in Henderson has been identified as 55-year-old Gregory Lee Cole of Henderson, the coroner's office said.

Cole's motorcycle was hit by a Ford pickup truck driven by a 19-year-old Jared Holmes of Henderson, who failed to yield on East Horizon Drive and Rebel Road, police said.

Holmes had not been charged Monday afternoon. The collision was still under investigation, authorities said.

Man arrested after killing

A Las Vegas man was killed and another arrested Monday after a confrontation in downtown Las Vegas, Metro Police said.

Benjamin Guaydacan, 26, was arrested Monday at his home in the 1700 block of West Bonanza Road and was booked into the Clark County Detention Center, where he was charged with murder with a deadly weapon.

Police say Guaydacan shot the man, whose name was not released this morning, about 7 a.m. Monday in what appeared to be a drug-related altercation in the 400 block of North 15th Street. The man was taken to University Medical Center and died there later in the day, police said.

Murder suspect arrested in LV

A woman sought in connection with the killings of two people in Ely has been arrested in Las Vegas, authorities said.

Investigators had been looking for Anna Marie Maestas since she disappeared after the Jan. 30 killings of Frankie Coca and Melody Hawkins.

At first, investigators were concerned for the safety of Maestas, who was believed to be with suspected killer Isaac Asusta.
