The Beaumont Foundation has granted the Salvation Army state-of-the-art computers for use by three of the Salvation Army's programs.
The Beaumont Foundation Grant is valued at $45,000 per location, bringing the total donation to $135,000.
The grant is for programs that are educational or vocational training related. The Army programs that have qualified and will receive the computers are: the North Las Vegas After School Program, Family Services, and the Vocational Training Programs located at the Lied, Owens, Campus.
Each computer is equipped with software, a digital camera, and storage facilities.
The grant is significant to the Salvation Army as it allows individuals greater access to education or vocational training material and to learn on computers.
The delivery of all computers to the three locations is scheduled Tuesday. Call 870-4430, ext. 23 or 29.
