'Granica'

Nancy Rahja's "Granica," her master of fine art thesis exhibition, will be displayed until Saturday at UNLV's Donna Beam Fine Art Gallery. Admission is free. 895-3893.

Art competition

Submissions are being accepted for the May 1 "Art of the Bicycle" amateur art show sponsored by the Silver State Bicycle Coalition. Submissions will be accepted until April 25, and can be dropped off at Las Vegas Cyclery, 8221 W. Charleston Blvd. The fee for each work submitted is $5, and proceeds will be used to buy bicycle helmets the SSBC donates throughout the year. All art selected will be displayed at Jitters Gourmet Coffee, 8441 W. Lake Mead Blvd. 243-9477.

'Armada'

The UNLV Department of Art and the Donna Beam Fine Art Gallery present Sean Russell's "Armada" from Sunday to March 19 at UNLV's Donna Beam Art Gallery. Admission is free. 895-1575.

Helga Blackford

The works of Henderson artist Helga Blackford will be displayed during March at the Lost City Museum in Overton. Berenstain Bears

Hirsch and Fritz
