Company in deal with local firm

Sotheby's International Realty Affiliates Inc. entered into an agreement with Las Vegas-based Spanish Hills Realty. The local firm, which is owned by James Beasley and Juan DeVarreau, will now do business as Beasley & DeVarreau Sotheby's International Realty.

The firm will serve the luxury real estate market in Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin and Lake Las Vegas. The firm also plans to increase the size of its staff from 10 to 50 employees.

Spanish Hills Realty was established in 1996 and as Beasley & DeVarreau Sotheby's International will remain independently owned and operated. The firm will pay Sotheby's a royalty fee for the use of the Sotheby's name and its business tools.
