Casino giants make ‘Most Admired’ list

Fortune Magazine has named the biggest U.S. casino companies to its annual list of "America's Most Admired Companies."

Marriott International was the most admired company in the hotels, casinos and resorts category, Fortune said. MGM Mirage was No. 2, making it the top casino company, followed by Harrah's Entertainment Inc., Mandalay Resort Group and Boyd Gaming Corp. Caesars Entertainment Inc. was No. 8 on the list.

Among hotel companies, Hilton Hotels Corp. was No. 7, Wyndham International Inc. was No. 9 and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc. was No. 10.

The magazine asked top managers at 582 companies with the largest revenue in each sector to judge their competition. In total, 10,000 executives, directors and analysts rated the companies in their industry on eight attributes.
