'Thursday'
An exhibition of student work from UNLV Advance Drawing classes will be displayed in "Every Other Thursday" until Thursday at UNLV's Jessie Metcalf Gallery. An artists' reception will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. Admission is free. 895-3893.
'Granica'
Nancy Rahja's "Granica," her master of fine art thesis exhibition, will be displayed from Monday to March 12 at UNLV's Donna Beam Fine Art Gallery. Admission is free. 895-3893.
Art competition
Submissions are being accepted for the May 1 "Art of the Bicycle" amateur art show sponsored by the Silver State Bicycle Coalition. Submissions will be accepted until April 25, and can be dropped off at Las Vegas Cyclery, 8221 W. Charleston Blvd. The fee for each work submitted is $5, and proceeds will be used to buy bicycle helmets the SSBC donates throughout the year. All art selected will be displayed at Jitters Gourmet Coffee, 8441 W. Lake Mead Blvd. 243-9477.
'Less is More'
Artists Marietta Hoferer and Jennifer Riley will have their works displayed in "Less is More" until April 30 at Dust Gallery, 1221 S. Main St. An artists' reception will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today. Admission is free. 880-3878.
Helga Blackford
The works of Henderson artist Helga Blackford will be displayed during March at the Lost City Museum in Overton. Berenstain Bears
"Growing Up With the Berenstain Bears," an interactive, bilingual exhibit, will be held at the Lied Discovery Children's Museum, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North, until Aug. 28. Admission $7 adults, $6 children 1 through 17, seniors and military, free for children under 1. 382-3445.
Lung and Madden

'Father's Eyes'
The Las Vegas Art Museum, 9600 W.
