Wholesaler’s license reinstated

The Nevada State Board of Pharmacy on Wednesday reinstated a pharmaceutical wholesaler's license and reaffirmed the fines it imposed in June.

The board reinstated FMC Distributors Inc.'s wholesale license for 45 days. During that time the wholesaler that is based in Puerto Rico, but does business in Nevada, is expected to pay $20,000 in fines and more than $30,000 for the board staff's investigation costs.

Once those payments are made, the company's license would be in good standing.

On June 2, the board suspended FMC's wholesale license and it guilty of failure to provide a true copy of its records to pharmacy board staff and employing workers who redacted or modified records.
