The annual Drive Fore Literacy with Oscar golf event, which benefits the Newspapers in Education program, will begin with registration and breakfast at 6 a.m. Friday at the Silverstone Golf Club, 8600 Cup Drive, followed by a shotgun start 7:30 a.m.
Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman is the host of the event, which also includes a silent auction and raffle.
Newspapers in Education is designed to assist teachers, develop curriculum/teaching tools and provide newspapers to the students. Call 383-4662.
