Nicholas Paul Abate

Nicholas Paul Abate, 61, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born July 21, 1943, in Gary, Ind. A resident for 34 years, he was a dealer and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine R.; his parents, Patricia and Paul Abate of Sun City, Ariz.; and two brothers, Salvatore Abate of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Paul Abate of Oak Park, Calif.

A memorial service will be noon Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Lynn Alamo

Lynn Alamo, 61, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. She was born April 16, 1943, in Culver City, Calif. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired secretary for an automotive firm.

She is survived by her husband, Tom; two sons, Micheal Wayne Alamo and Jeffery Scott Alamo, and one daughter, Delra Alamo, all of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday in Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 6220 N. Jones Blvd. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Florence Bodenstein

Florence Bodenstein, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 19, 1913, in Chicago. A resident for 12 1/2 years, she was a retired administrative assistant for a pharmaceutical company, a member of the Las Vegas chapter of Women's ORT, sisterhood of Temple Beth Sholom and the Myra Kurland Heart Fund of Chicago.

She is survived by one daughter, Bryna Gabriel of Arlington Heights, Ill.; one son, Jordan Bodenstein of Las Vegas; and one granddaughter.

Graveside services were scheduled at noon today in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Larry D. Caswell Sr.

Larry D. Caswell Sr., 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born May 25, 1941, in Jackson County, Mo. A resident for 35 years, he owned and operated Jones Machinery, a gaming company.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy L.; one son, Larry D. Caswell Jr., and four daughters, Angie Borcuk, Deborah Caswell, Carolyn Sanson and Sherry Limon, all of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. March 30 in Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 55 E. Reno Ave. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Mariita Coyle

Mariita Coyle, 87, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born May 17, 1917, in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. A resident for 13 years, she retired as a secretary in the airline industry.

She is survived by one son, John A. Sage of Indian Wells, Calif.

Mildred M. Feese

Mildred M. Feese, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born April 20, 1920, in Grand Rapids, Mich. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Jack Feese of Las Vegas and James Feese of Agoura Hills, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Rosa Lee Frazier

Rosa Lee Frazier, 81, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 7, 1923, in Waterproof, La. A resident for 55 years, she was a retired Clark County custodian.

She is survived by her companion, Nelson Holley of Las Vegas; and one nephew, Cornell Woods Sr. of Salt Lake City.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Memorial Park.

Tom H. Froistad

Tom H. Froistad, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 21, 1948, in Santa Fe, N.M. A resident for 54 years, he was a retired schoolteacher who taught at Cashman Middle School, Las Vegas High School, Western High School and most recently Palo Verde High School and was a veteran of the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy J.; one son, Rick Froistad of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kresten L. Froistad of Novato, Calif.; his mother, Ann Froistad of Las Vegas; one brother, Glen Froistad of Aromas, Calif.; and two sisters, Lisa Froistad Wetzel of Las Vegas and Trudy Froistad Stevenson of Reno.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Shadow Hills Baptist Church, 7811 Vegas Drive. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Helene Garon

Helene Garon, 90, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 4, 1914, in Pueblo, Colo. A resident for 2 1/2 years, she was a retired owner-operator of a novelty and gift store, a member of the Assistance League of Southern California and Hadassah.

She is survived by one daughter, Sheila Schwartz of Las Vegas; one son, Leonard Garon of Philadelphia; one brother, Alvin Perry of Denver; and two grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in California. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Evelyn Mae Heyden

Evelyn Mae Heyden, 81, of Henderson died Feb. 9 in Henderson. She was born Jan. 12, 1924, in Los Angeles. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

She is survived by one daughter, Shauneen Heyden of Palm Springs, Calif.; three sons, Lee Heyden of Carlsbad, Calif., Scott Heyden of Las Vegas and James Heyden of Henderson; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Larry Kincer

Larry Kincer, 57, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 11, 1947, in Cincinnati. A resident for eight years, he was a construction surveyor.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two stepdaughters, Miriam Rowley of Lynchburg, Ohio, and Gwen Ellis of Mason, Ohio; one brother, Wayne Kincer of Cincinnati; one sister, Margaret Duncan of Batavia, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

Robert H. Lewis

Robert H. Lewis, 70, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. He was born July 12, 1934, in Green River, Wyo. A resident for one year, he was a retired owner-operator of a chain link fence company, an Air Force veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Icilda M.; two daughters, Mimi Saenger of Jackson, Wyo., and Alice Romango of Las Vegas; one son, Henry Lewis of Green River; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Katherine Moffett

Katherine Moffett, 85, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 27, 1920, in Marinette, Wis. A resident for 22 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Pattie Roberts of Henderson; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Betty Janiece Sauder

Betty Janiece Sauder, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 20, 1923, in Hale, Mo. A resident for 42 years, she was a retired secretary for the convention authority and a member of the Beta Sigma Phi for 58 years.

She is survived by one son, Steven Sauder of Las Vegas; and one daughter, Candy Sauder of Phoenix.

Visitation and services will be at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Nikki Lashaun Sears

Nikki Lashaun Sears, 24, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. She was born March 19, 1980, in Las Vegas. She was a computer tech.

She is survived by her mother, Katy Collins of North Las Vegas; and her father, Willie Sears of Fort Worth, Texas.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Leroy E. Smith

Leroy E. Smith, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 7, 1924, in Haverhill, Mass. A resident for six years, he was a retired color matcher in the shoe industry and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Anna L.; two sons, Lee E. Smith of North Las Vegas and Alan R. Smith of Sandown, N.H.; three daughters, Sally A. Serago of Aiken, S.C., Dale M. Anderson of Haverhill, Mass., and Karen L. David of Las Vegas; and nine grandchildren.

Elmer B. Spiegelberg

Elmer B. Spiegelberg, 81, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 4, 1923, in St. Paul, Minn. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired police officer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marion; one daughter, Jean Byrd, and one son, Bruce Spiegelberg, both of Henderson; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Alva E. Wing Jr.

Alva E. Wing Jr., 83, of North Las Vegas died Feb. 16 in North Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 2, 1921, in Pottsville, Pa. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired Navy petty officer first class, a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran and a member of the American Legion and Fleet Reserve Association.

He is survived by one daughter, Pam Iverson of Las Vegas; one son, Ron Wing of Hurricane, W.Va.; one sister, Helen Bradwell of Marysville, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10-11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
