LV home to other notable projects

Las Vegas has attracted some major architects over the years, mostly for hotel-casino projects. Arguably none were as famous at the time as Frank Gehry, who has been contracted to design the Lou Ruvo Alzheimer's Center at Union Park, is today. Here are some noted architects who have either designed entire Las Vegas buildings or portions of major projects, as gathered from UNLV archives and Paul Steelman Ltd. Architects of Las Vegas:

Non-gaming:

Antoine Predock of New Mexico: The Las Vegas Library and Lied Discovery Museum downtown.

Rem Koolhaas of the Netherlands: The Venetian's 63,700-square-foot Guggenheim Las Vegas exhibition hall.

Morphosis, of Santa Monica, Calif.: The interior of the Tsunami Asian Grill at the Venetian.

C.W. Fentress, J.H. Bradburn and Associates: The Clark County Government Center adjacent to Union Park.
