Volunteers sought for lake cleanup
An interagency volunteer program coordinated by the UNLV Public Lands Initiative, is seeking volunteers for the Great American Cleanup from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Lake Mead National Recreation Area, beginning in the upper parking lot area at Lake Mead Marina.
The Keep American Beautiful, Great American Cleanup is an annual event in which volunteers clear away debris that has accumulated over the winter on the shorelines and beaches of Lake Mead.
Volunteers for the event are asked to bring a hat, gloves and sunscreen. A barbeque lunch will be served at the completion of the cleanup. For more information, call 895-4890 or visit www.getoutdoorsnevada.org.
The Anxiety Support Group
will meet 6 p.m. Thursday in the Garden Room at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals Siena Campus, 3001 St. Rose Parkway, Henderson. The group addresses general anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia and social anxiety disorders.

The North Las Vegas Library
will offer a computer class in Spanish at 2 p.m. Saturday at the library, 2300 Civic Center Drive. The class is free but preregistration is required. Call 633-1070.
