Richard A. Gottschalk
Richard A. Gottschalk, 77, of Squantum, Mass., died Thursday. He was born Aug. 11, 1927, in Englewood, N.J. A former Las Vegas resident for 15 years, he was a retired security officer from Binion's Horseshoe, managed several hotels and motels, was a veteran of the Englewood police department, achieving the rank of detective first class, and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Grace Buscher of Squantum and Frances Brunner of New Milford, N.J.; and five grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy, Mass., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Hospice of the South Shore, P.O. Box 859060, Braintree, MA 02185-9060.
Lillian M. Heller
Lillian M. Heller, 96, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 1, 1909, in Utterson, Ontario. A resident for 28 years, she was a retired U.S. Postal Service postmistress.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna J. Dockter of Las Vegas and Lorene Sateren of McVille, N.D.; one sister, Muriel Ricard of Bracebridge, Ontario; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Thursday in Liberty Baptist Church, 6501 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
William A. Leslie
William A. Leslie, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born April 9, 1922, in Magna, Utah. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired Clark County auto parts buyer and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Debbie Sullivan of Henderson; one son, Mark Leslie of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Fawne Mongeon
Fawne Mongeon, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 4, 1929, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. A resident for 48 years, she was a retired retail manager.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonni Itakura of Las Vegas and Judith Kizell-Brans of Canada; two brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation is scheduled 2-3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
