Four plead not guilty in slaying

The four people who allegedly conspired to kill a man who bad-mouthed a local strip club all pleaded not guilty to charges on Monday.

Anabel Espindola, 33, and Luis Hidalgo III, 24, allegedly hired a Palomino Club employee, 24-year-old Deangelo Carroll, to arrange the death of Timothy J. Hadland.

Carroll then allegedly conspired with Kenneth Counts, 29, to shoot Hadland for $6,000. Hadland's body was found May 19 on North Shore Road at Lake Mead with fliers for the Palomino Club scattered around his body.

The four have been charged with murder with the use of a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit murder, and solicitation to commit murder and are scheduled to stand trial before District Judge Donald Mosley on Aug. 29.

All four continue to be held in custody without bail.
