Oakes & Garcia

Trombone quartet
The Cultural Affairs Division of Las Vegas presents the Dynamic Trombone Quartet at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Reed Whipple Cultural Center, 821 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Admission is free, but tickets are required. 229-6211.
Gala concert
The Performing Arts Society of Nevada will present a gala concert at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Admission is $10. 658-6741.
Tony Scodwell
Trumpeter Tony Scodwell will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Clark County Government Center Ampitheatre, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway, as part of the Clark County Parks and Community Services' free "Jazz in the Park" series. 455-8200.
Community concert
The Las Vegas Community Concert Band will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. 455-7340.

The District at Green Valley Ranch continues its concert series with the following performances this week:
6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today -- Yacht Club, a contemporary jazz trio.
6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday -- David Van Such, featuring contemporary and jazz music.
Theater
'Sin City Serenade'
The Las Vegas Little Theatre, 3920 Schiff Drive, presents "Sin City Serenade" at 8 p.m. today, Saturday and Thursday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $25 general, $22 seniors and students. 362-7996.
'Seussical'
Super Summer Theatre 2005 presents "Seussical" at 8 p.m. today and Saturday at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, located on State Route 159 about five miles past Red Rock Visitors Center. Admission is $10. 594-7529.
