3 on 3 basketball tournament set
The Sin City 3 on 3 Fourth of July Extravaganza tournament will be held July 2 and 3 at the new Palace Station Casino Sports Center, 2730 S. Rancho Drive.
The tournament gives every player, regardless of talent level, and the chance to showcase their basketball skills.

Parkinson's group to meet
The American Parkinson's Disease Association's Support Group will meet at 1 p.m. July 6 at the First Christian Church, 101 S. Rancho Drive.

Child care training offered
The Department of Business License, Child Care Licensing Office is conducting its second annual Early Childhood Training Conference 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday in the the Clark County Government Center's Rotunda on the first floor, 500 S. Grand Central Pkwy.
The conference kicks off with keynote address from Kendall Tenney of KVBC Channel 3. Sessions include Toddler Sensory Motor Development, Music and Movement, Recognizing and Reporting Abuse and Neglect, Working with Challenging Behaviors, Introduction to Pre-K Standards and other topics. Attendees also will participate in a roundtable discussion facilitated by community-based leaders to promote cooperative and collaborative relationships between local organizations and the child care community.
The Child Care Licensing Office promotes the growth of and helps community maintain high-quality childhood care through many of its community outreach efforts.

Kindergarten preview set
Your child can get a gentle introduction to common activities found in kindergarten by attending the Kids' Co-op Bridge to Kindergarten program from 9:30 am.-12:30 p.m. July 25-28 at 4316 N. Decatur Blvd.
Kids' Co-op is the only parent cooperative school in Southern Nevada. The teachers and parents have dedicated themselves to early childhood development since 1983.

Early Fourth celebration
Pulidor Foundation Spirit of the Nations will present its 35th annual Fourth of July celebration 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday at Leisure Services YMCA, 3521 N. Durango Drive.
The event will feature food, beverages, face painting and swimming for youth and children.
