Jacoba Carino Baria

Jacoba Carino Baria, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 28, 1916, in the Philippines. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Juliana Alipio and Gil Baria, both of Las Vegas and Gleceria Aguinaldo of the Philippines; four sons, Elisa Carino, Theodora Rosete, Bibiano Baria and Eduardo Baria, all of the Philippines; and 30 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday with a 6 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Mass will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Ruth Bernstein

Ruth Bernstein, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 1, 1920, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Bernard; one daughter, Susan Carol Bernstein, and one son, Ron Bernstein, both of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private arrangements.

Joesph Ray Boeckner

Joesph Ray Boeckner, 29, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 25, 1975, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was disabled.

He is survived by two sons, Leo Boeckner of Montana and Zechariah Romero of Las Vegas; one daughter, Anabelle Boeckner, and his mother, Vickie Cole-Campbell, both of Las Vegas; his father, Raymond J. Boeckner of Alabama; and one sister, Tricia Myers of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. A private burial will follow.

Stephanie Tomasso Brock

Stephanie Tomasso Brock, 30, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 16, 1974, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a housekeeper.

She is survived by her husband, Kerry; one son, Kerry Brock Jr., one daughter, Mahogany Bias, her parents, Brenda and Henry Bias Sr., and two brothers, Will Cambrit and Henry Bias Jr., all of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Dell Bias of North Las Vegas and Ikea Bias of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Friday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Tried Stone Baptist Church, 621 W. Carey Ave., North Las Vegas. A private burial will follow.

Ingrid Clay

Ingrid Clay, 69, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 7, 1936, in Essen, Germany. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Henry; one daughter, Christine Mitchell of Las Vegas; one sister, Marga Myers of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Bobby Lee Deal

Bobby Lee Deal, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 12, 1929, in Lincoln, Neb. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired refinery foreman and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn L.; one daughter, Teri Lynn Stevens of Apple Valley, Calif.; one son, James Robert Deal of Hesperia, Calif.; one sister, Sally Pendleton of Bellflower, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Angela Lee Gantman, 43, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 8, 1962, in Maryland. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Michael; one daughter, Brooke Gantman of North Las Vegas; two sons, Jeremy Kirshner of North Las Vegas and Thomas Cunningham of Colorado; her parents, Munson and Nancie Southworth of New York; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Verdell Green-Arnold, 52, of North Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 29, 1953, in Jackson, Miss. A resident for 42 years, she was a child care worker.

She is survived by two sons, Mitchell Green and MarQuice Duncan, two daughters, Anjoli Graham and LaShana Graham, and her parents, Lester and Minnie Bright, all of North Las Vegas; four sisters, Rosetta Green and Pearlena Turner, both of Las Vegas, Louetta Taylor of North Las Vegas and Roberta Cole of Pittsburg, Calif.; one brother, Joe Nathan Green of North Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 2600 Clayton St., North Las Vegas. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Barbara Rhodes

Barbara Rhodes, 74, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 12, 1930, in Riverside, Calif. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the women's auxiliary at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by three sons, Michael Rhodes and Terence Rhodes, both of Henderson and David Rhodes of San Dimas, Calif.; two daughters, Jacqueline Rhodes and Barbara Stephens, both of Henderson; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Monday with a 6 p.m. vigil in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Lucille Robinson

Lucille Robinson, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 6, 1932, in El Dorado, Ill. A resident for 17 years, she was an insurance agent.

She is survived by her husband, Col. Terry S. Robinson (USAF Ret.); two sons, Tim Beane of Las Vegas and Joseph Beane of Henderson; one daughter, Debra Beane of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Gary Richard Sheldon

Gary Richard Sheldon, 67, of Las Vegas died June 15 in a local care center. A government systems analyst, he was born July 9, 1937, in California.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen; two sons, Richard Sheldon and Kenneth Sheldon; two daughters, Kimberly Minnis and Doris Mixon; and one stepson, Scott Auld.

Margaretha Steile

Margaretha Steile, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born June 20, 1926, in Hague, Saskatchewan. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired tailor who owned and operated her own business.

She is survived by her companion, Leroy Flom of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Sarah Bloom of Canwood, Saskatchewan, and Helen Schutte of Parkside, Saskatchewan.

Visitation is scheduled 9:30 a.m. until a noon service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Pecola Lucille Stevenson

Pecola Lucille Stevenson, 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday. She was born May 16, 1921, in Madison Parish, La. A resident for 50 years, she was a retired supervisor.

She is survived by one son, Sam Stevenson Jr., and three daughters, Barbara Brown, Jacqueline Stevenson and Kathy Joyce, all of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Joseph James Ward, 77, of Las Vegas died June 16 in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 28, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired railroad clerk and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his companion, Aleta Doran of Las Vegas.
