Tuesday, June 21, 2005 | 10:33 a.m.

Organizers of the World Series of Poker say the total prize pool at this year's tournament will reach $100 million, more than double last year's record.

The tournament's 19 events so far have attracted 13,500 entrants and prize money of more than $23.5 million, owner Harrah's Entertainment Inc. said.

The tournament, which began last month and will run until mid-July, includes 45 events. Some 450 dealers are participating in the tournament, which is held at the Rio's convention center in a room with some 200 poker tables.

The championship $10,000 buy-in no-limit Texas hold 'em event begins July 7.
