Seminar to aid with home equity
A free seminar on understanding home equity conversion mortgages will begin 2 p.m. June 30 in the multipurpose room at the Green Valley Library, 2797 N. Green Valley Parkway.
Participants will learn about reverse mortgages, who can qualify; what are the benefits and costs; how to avoid predatory lending; and where to get free counseling.
The seminar is being presented by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Southern Nevada.

School's support staff career fair set
Individuals interested in becoming Support Staff employees for the Clark County School District may attend the district's Support Staff Career Fair from 8 a.m.-noon June 25 at the Transportation and Food Service, 4499 S. Arville St.
Applications will be accepted for bus drivers, vehicle service technicians, vehicle maintenance technicians, vehicle garage attendants, transportation aides, food service personnel, heavy truck drivers, industrial arts technicians, and food service manager II positions. Bus drivers and heavy truck drivers must be at least 21 years of age.

NLV Chamber to host golf tournament
The North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce will hold its eighth annual Golf Tournament event beginning 7 a.m. June 27 with a shotgun start at TPC Summerlin to benefit the educational programs of the Chamber's Educational Foundation. The deadline to register is Tuesday.
Cost is $225 and includes all green fees, cart, gift bag, golf shirt, and lunch.
