twitterBLM extends public comment on proposed water project

The Bureau of Land Management has extended public comment on a proposed Virgin and Muddy Rivers water development project.
The Southern Nevada Water Authority has applied to the Bureau of Land Management for temporary and permanent rights-of-way to build and operate a pipeline on public lands to bring water from rural areas to Las Vegas.
The public comment period was to end June 10, but groups and organizations asked the BLM to extend the time.
The public comment period has been extended through Aug. 1.
