Columnist Ralph Siraco: Yet another day to play superfecta
Friday, June 10, 2005 | 9 a.m.
Ralph Siraco's horse racing column appears Monday and his Southern California selections run Tuesday-Sunday.
Again, this Triple Crown race, like the previous pair, is a great betting opportunity.
And, the superfecta is the vehicle.
When betting such a proposition, there will be many more misses than hits. We suggested a five-horse $1 superfecta box in the Kentucky Derby and had two of the four in that $864,253 bonanza. No cigar. We suggested a five-horse $1 superfecta box in the Preakness Stakes and again had two of the four in that $10,362 payoff. No cigar, again.
Remember, however, just one gets it done.
So, we will suggest another $1 superfecta five-horse box in the Belmont Stakes for a total wager of $120. The five-horse superfecta box is:
No. 3 A.P. Arrow
No. 5 Giacomo
No. 7 Andromeda's Hero
No. 9 Afleet Alex
No. 11 Chekhov.
Have a great Belmont Stakes race day.
