Joseph Brown
Joseph Brown, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 3, 1937, in New Orleans. A resident for three years, he was a retired electroplater for a steel company.
He is survived by one daughter, Jozette Brown of Las Vegas; two sons, Narren Brown of Cresco, Iowa, and Nahum Brown of Las Vegas; two sisters, Ida Stitt of Atlanta and Ruth Spellman of El Sobrante, Calif.; two brothers, Reginald Brown of New York City and Ronald Brown of Richmond, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park.
Peter P. Dadey
Peter P. Dadey, 78, of Las Vegas died June 1 in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 23, 1927, in Syracuse, N.Y. A resident for six years, he was a retired traffic coordinator for an air-conditioning company and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; one daughter, Cheryl Dadey, and one son, Gary Dadey, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Elizabeth Stratton and Carol Mento, both of Syracuse; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Wayne Anthony DeSantis
Wayne Anthony DeSantis, 47, of Boulder City died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 6, 1957, in Providence, R.I. A resident for 9 1/2 years, he was a security officer in the aerospace industry.
He is survived by his parents, Janine M. and Anthony B. DeSantis Sr. of Fountain Valley, Calif.

Dr. Lawrence Dobson
Dr. Lawrence Dobson, 76, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born June 8, 1928, in Hart County, Ky. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired physician and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Susan.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
William F. Gann Sr.
William F. Gann Sr., 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 17, 1930, in Houston, Miss. A resident for more than 30 years, he was a retired police officer, a Korean War Marine Corps veteran and a member of Sawdusters (a woodworking club in Sun City).
He is survived by his loving companion, Janet E. Schmidt, and one daughter, Kimberly M. Magdos, both of Las Vegas; one son, William F. Gann Jr. of Ventura, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private arrangements.

James Robert Hooker
James Robert Hooker, 62, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. A retired bricklayer and a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran, he was born Dec. 20, 1942, in Greenville, S.C.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah; two daughters, Denise Thomas and Johnnie Mae; seven sons, Keith Thomas, Willey Thomas, Blane Hooker, James Hooker Jr., Todd Hooker, Terry Peden and Jason Hooker; one brother, U.J. Thompson; and many grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Greenville. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is assisting with arrangements.
Joshua McMillan Johnson
Joshua McMillan Johnson, 17, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 31, 1988, in Wichita, Kan. A resident for 15 years, he was a Vo-Tech High School student and 3-D animator.
He is survived by his parents, Vickie and Jeffrey Johnson, and one brother, Kris Johnson, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Bette Rae and Roy Dawson Johnson Jr., Carl Lamb and Joyce McMillan, all of Las Vegas, and Lonnie McMillan of Conway, Ark.
Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 4 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Johnny E. Leverett
Johnny E. Leverett, 22, of Las Vegas died May 30 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 6, 1982, in Nevada. A resident for 20 years, he was a laborer.
He is survived by one son, Tah J. Buford, and his mother, Pamela Bell, both of Las Vegas; his father, Robert Buford Jr. of North Las Vegas; one sister, Melissa Leverett, and his grandfather, Garry Bell, both of Las Vegas; and his grandmother, Annie Buford of North Las Vegas.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Marianne A. Mitsven
Marianne A. Mitsven, 65, of Las Vegas died May 27 in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 19, 1940, in Germany. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired meat cutter.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; one son, Mike Opitz of Germany; three daughters, Marion Gonce of Elgin, Okla., Ramona Sanders of Tyler, Texas, and Lori Walton of Las Vegas; two sisters, Margitte Luciani of Las Vegas and Gerda Krug of Germany; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Theresa Payne
Theresa Payne, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 26, 1922, in California. A resident for 50 years, she was a retired waitress, a member of the Redrock Moose Lodge and the Culinary Union.
She is survived by one son, David H.; and one grandchild.

Charles E. 'Gene' Roberts
Charles E. "Gene" Roberts, 46, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 8, 1959, in Los Angeles. A resident for 33 years, he was a retail food cashier.
He is survived by one brother, Chris Roberts of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Maxine W. Suter
Maxine W. Suter, 83, of Las Vegas died June 1 in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 9, 1921, in Missouri. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald of Las Vegas and Michael of California; two daughters, Sharon and Judy, both of California; one sister, Shirley Millendorf of Missouri; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

James W. Wolfe
James W. Wolfe, 58, of Las Vegas died June 1 in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 27, 1946, in Los Angeles. A resident for two years, he was a retired Navy machinist mate, a Vietnam War veteran and a member of the Submariners.
He is survived by one son, Kevin C. Wolfe of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Susan Wolfe of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Lynn Blaze of Hesperia, Calif.
