Lottery glitch fixed, but isolated incidents remain

But spokesman Chuck Baumann said a few players continue to experience occasional disruptions, and are being cashed out without warning.
The cause is still unknown.
Retailers reported that the video poker and slot games suddenly stopped and were replaced by a numerical code on the screen. The machines spit out a slip showing how much players were owed at that point.
But some retailers said they were hesitant to honor the slips because they could not validate them electronically.
Baumann said the lottery won't be able to ascertain the total number of disruptions or potential money lost until a final fix is made.
The Oregon Lottery introduced video poker in 1992 and this year added slot machine games to the terminals.
