NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE

Anglers have been landing striped bass and channel catfish when they can get their boats onto the water. They have been finding stripers from the 33 Hole to Anchor Island to the back of Las Vegas Wash.

Boaters continue to catch channel catfish and stripers outside the tires at Lake Mead Marina. The Hemenway Wall has also produced some stripers recently. Boaters have had very little success off Boulder Beach.

Shore fishing continues to be slow in the Boulder Basin, other than a few stripers that have been caught around Hemenway Harbor.

Anglers have enjoyed fair success for stripers recently in the Overton Arm around Fish Island and from shore just south of Echo Bay Marina.

Several rattlesnakes have been seen recently near the shoreline at Willow Beach. Anglers should be aware that venomous snakes may be present and should be cautious of where they are walking and placing their hands and fishing equipment.

Fishing pressure was heavy during the Memorial Day weekend and most anglers were rewarded with very nice rainbow trout. Maes checked several trout that ranged 18-20 inches, which may indicate that the fish have finished their spawning cycle.
