Relay to help Cancer Society
Former and current cancer patients, their families, businesses, civic organizations, and the general public are invited to take part in The Relay For Life event 6 p.m. Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday at the University of Southern Nevada, 11 Sunset Way.
Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's version of an athletic relay, a family-oriented event where participants enjoy the camaraderie of a team and also raise funds to support the activities of the American Cancer Society. Participants camp out at the relay site and when they are not taking their turn walking or running, they take part in fun activities and enjoy local entertainment.
The funds raised help the local American Cancer Society to continue its investment in the fight against cancer through research, education, advocacy, and services to patients.
For more information, call 798-6877, ext. 25, or visit www.cancer. org.
