Letter: Rove must pay for dirty deeds
Friday, July 29, 2005 | 8:52 a.m.
Wake up, America! There is no good morning under the Bush-Cheney White house of cards and canards. Laser-sharp focus needs to be kept on the Karl Rove leak story by all media. Rove's entire public life is a trail of outrageous fraud, deception and disrespect for established boundaries. It is far past time he pays for his career of filth.
Americans also need to realize that any problems in any organization come from the top down. Sadly, in 30 short years, any lessons that should have been learned from Watergate have been forgotten, or, worse, trivialized.
The Bush-Cheney White House makes a mockery of everything valuable in our former democracy. It is time the dirtiest partisans who cry partisan every time their dirt is exposed are honestly made to pay for their deeds.
Please wake up, America. Hopefully it is not too late to undo the damage done to our democracy by the Bush-Cheney bullies.
