Reporter killed while covering race
At Bogota, Colombia, a Colombian reporter was killed when his car crashed on a sharp mountain bend while he was doing a live broadcast Wednesday of a cycling race.
RCN radio said Alberto Martinez, 50, was standing in the back of a convertible watching riders compete in the Tour de Colombia when the brakes apparently failed and the vehicle hit a side barrier before flipping over.
Another two reporters, a radio technician and the driver were injured and rushed to hospital, RCN said.
"The pair riding out front are heading for the final stage ... it's (cyclist Mauricio) Soler, Soler!" were Martinez's final words before a loud bang is heard.
Coach hopes to return after shooting

Gary Joe Kinne said Wednesday he is "not completely healed," and that he still needs to be cleared by his doctors before he can resume coaching duties.
"My plans are to be there," Kinne said Wednesday.
Kinne was in critical condition after he was gunned down in the school's athletic field house in April. Jeffrey Robertson, whose son played freshman football at Canton, is accused of shooting Kinne in the abdomen.
