North Las Vegas Police are looking for at least two people suspected of shooting a 30-year-old man who later died at a hospital Tuesday.
Officers on their way to the 5800 block of Orchid Jungle encountered a car containing the wounded man, his wife who was driving, and two children, near Ann Road and Clayton Avenue, North Las Vegas Police spokesman Tim Bedwell said.
Police called an ambulance and the man was taken to University Medical Center, Bedwell said.
The coroner's office did not release the name of the dead man.
Investigators said that about 10 a.m. the man was in front of his home when at least two people in a red pickup truck pulled up and began firing. Police said there was evidence that the man fired back with his own weapon.
The man then stumbled into his home and asked his wife to drive him to the hospital, Bedwell said.
Police found the pickup truck in a parking lot at Ann Road and Simmons Street late Tuesday, Bedwell said.
The suspects have not been located, he said.
