Letter: President merely rewarding friends

I see President Bush is on the road again, peddling his Social Security reform.

But look! His mother is tagging along, lending well-rehearsed words of puffery in praise of her son's thoughtful concern for the people.

Don't they realize we know that the president's true motive is payback to the corporate world and the like who financed his election? Once citizens say yes to his Social Security plan and invest their savings in corporate ventures, he can really strut about and his mom can go home to her millions.
