Red Cross plans musical fundraiser
The American Red Cross will host the third annual "Red Cross Night at Spring Mountain Ranch" Aug. 14, a fundraiser featuring the musical "Guys and Dolls."
Proceeds will support both the chapter's Disaster Relief and Armed Forces Emergency Services programs. Profits will be used to purchase disaster relief resources such as water and food.

Free Community Garden programs
are offered 9 a.m. Wednesdays for seniors ages 50 and older at Doolittle Senior Center, 1950 N. J St.; and at the Lieburn Senior Senior, 6230 Garwood Ave. Master gardeners teach them how to grow their own vegetables, fruits and flowers in the community garden. The Animal Foundation
will move up to 150 dogs into its state-of-the-art expansion at the Lied Animal Shelter. Volunteers are needed to wash dogs for move-in. Call 384-3333.
"Heading On" is a program designed
to provide individuals with a traumatic brain injury with leisure awareness, social interaction skills, leisure resources and leisure activity skills during and/or after clinical rehabilitation. Classes are from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Call 229-4904 for more information.
