Concerts
The District at Green Valley Ranch continues its concert series with the following performances this week:
6 p.m. to 10 p.m. tonight -- Rick Arroyo & the Latin Percussion Ensemble, performing Latin jazz and salsa.
6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday -- Remix, performing top 40.
Banana Slug
The Banana Slug String Band will perform at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. today at the Reed Whipple Cultural Center, 821 Las Vegas Blvd. North, as part of Las Vegas' "Children's Summer Concert Series." Admission is $3. 229-6211.
Island Tyme
The Henderson Parks and Recreation Department will host a poolside concert by the Caribbean band Island Tyme at 7 p.m. Saturday at Whitney Ranch Activity Pool, 1575 Galleria Drive. Admission is $8 adults, $5 youths and seniors. 267-4055.
Theater
'Vanessa'
Childsplay presents "Interrupting Vanessa" at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St., as part of Las Vegas' "Children's Summer Concert Series." Tickets are $3. 229-6383.
'Sin City Serenade'
The Las Vegas Little Theatre, 3920 Schiff Drive, presents "Sin City Serenade" at 8 p.m. tonight, Saturday and Thursday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $25 general, $22 seniors and students. 362-7996.
