William G. Buckingham
William G. Buckingham, 79, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born June 15, 1926, in Nebraska. A resident for six years, he was a retired corporate pilot and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by one son, Scott Buckingham of Albuquerque; two daughters, Lynn Smith of Henderson and Christine Buckinhgam of Lake Zurich, Ill.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Joanne Craig
Joanne Craig, 74, of Las Vegas died July 12 in Las Vegas. She was born July 15, 1930, in California. A resident for six years, she was a title officer.
She is survived by two sons, Randy Nickeral and Jeff Craig; one daughter, Sandy Sheppard; one brother, Jim Goddard; one sister, Beverly Manitta; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Monday at the LDS Alexander War. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las VegasBlvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Kevonte DeShawn Ferguson
Kevonte DeShawn Ferguson, 6, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 30, 1998, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his father, Demotress Rishun Williams, his mother, Ashley Marie Ferguson, two brothers, Devin Williams and Keion Williams, and two sisters, Daijah Williams and Dezarai Williams, all of Las Vegas; his grandparents, Claudetta Ferguson, Lonell Washington and Tonya Green; and his great-grandparents, Eva and Earl Culverson, Dorothy Washington, Howard Richardson and Billy Johnson.
Visitation is scheduled noon-5 p.m. Monday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Joan Rose Galgano
Joan Rose Galgano, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born May 31, 1927, in New York City. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Vincent Galgano of Henderson; one daughter, Patricia Borst of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Gordon Wendell Hansen
Gordon Wendell Hansen, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born June 5, 1927, in St. George, Utah. A resident for 43 years, he was a retired house painter and a World War II Coast Guard and Merchant Marine veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Dane Hansen of North Las Vegas and Don Hansen of Glendale, Ariz.; two daughters, Rise Strobehn and Marilyn Romero, both of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Bill Hansen.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Saturday in the LDS Oakey and Monte Cristo chapel. Graveside services will be noon Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary,1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Lee 'Julia' Harris
Lee "Julia" Harris, 63, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 24, 1942, in Burlington, Vt. A resident for 44 years, she was a retired telecommunications manager in the hotel industry.
She is survived by two daughters, Angelique Bottum and Juliet Boyce; four sisters, Lindsay Welsome, Rita Morse, Marguerite Smith and Susan Cudney; and six grandchildren.
Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.
Lee W. Huntley Jr.
Lee W. Huntley Jr., 62, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born in Bridgeport, Conn. A resident for six years, he was an instructor in the Junior ROTC, a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, a member of Marion County Homeland Security, Citizens on Patrol Service, Civilian Emergency Response Team and Foxwood Computer Club.
He is survived by his wife of eight years, Katherine P.; five sons, Lee W. Huntley III of Ball Ground, Ga., Kenneth Huntley of Orlando, Fla., Christopher Huntley of Kennewick, Wash., Richard Farrell of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Kenneth Farrell of Citra, Fla.; two daughters, Dawn DiCello of Las Vegas and Dawn Stoyer Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Harry Huntley of Citra, Fla.; two sisters, Nancy Morano of Highland, N.Y., and LaVonne Frisby of Austin, Texas; and 12 grandchildren.
Roberts Funeral Home, Bruce Chapel West, Ocala, Fla., is handling arrangements.

Fran L. Nasca, 71, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 12, 1933, in Chicago. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired assistant paymaster for a railroad and a member of the Christian group Cursillo.
She is survived by her companion, Henrietta Schotland of Las Vegas; two sisters, Margaret LoPresti and Sarah LoPresti, both of Chicago; two brothers, Salvatore Nasca of Newport Richey, Fla., and Dominick Nasca of Chicago.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Deborrah Kay Nelson, 50, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born March 23, 1955, in Hempstead, Texas. A resident for 20 years, she was a disabled Army veteran and a former licensed practical nurse.
She is survived by one son, Rocky Nelson, and her parents, Houston and Edith Nelson, all of Henderson; and one sister, Patricia Nelson of Bakersfield, Calif.

Jennifer Lyn Nilson
Jennifer Lyn Nilson, 32, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 4, 1973, in Terre Haute, Ind. A resident for four years, she was a manager at conventions.
She is survived by her husband, Brian; one stepdaughter, Courtney Nilson, and one stepson, Jordan Nilson, both of Las Vegas; her father, Timothy Woolsey of Dallas; her mother, Nancy Woolsey of Terre Haute; one brother, Sam Woolsey of Los Angeles; and her grandmother, Gladys Buck of Terre Haute.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Alyce K. Posesky
Alyce K. Posesky, 93, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born April 1, 1912, in Billings, Mont. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired PBX operator for the telephone company and a member of Catholic Daughters of America.
She is survived by one daughter, Gigi P. Oram of Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a noon service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Joseph L. Romo, 84, of Pahrump died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born June 21, 1921, in Westwood, Calif. A resident for most of his life, he was a retired hotel painter and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Molly; two daughters, Gloria A. Ricketson of Douglas, Ga., and Irene L. Helling of Las Vegas; two sons, Robert J. Romo of Anaheim, Calif., and John R. Romo of Pahrump; two sisters, Carmen Grace and Rosemary Key, and one brother, Frank Romo, all of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Beulah Grace Sparks
Beulah Grace Sparks, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 22, 1919, in Paul's Valley, Okla. A resident for 43 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Carl; one daughter, Trisha Sparks; four sons, David Sparks, Daniel Sparks and Tim Sparks, all of Las Vegas, and Carl Sparks of Geneva, Switzerland; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Gospel Lighthouse Church at Truth Christian Ministry, 890 E. Sahara Ave.

Rosa Tepper, 86, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born May 24, 1919, in Bridgeport, Conn. A resident for 17 years, she was a homemaker, a member of Hadassah and Women's American Overseas Rehabilitation Training.
She is survived by three daughters, Regina, Jean and Barbara; two sons, Richard and Arnold; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Verley Wicker
Verley Wicker, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. She was born Sept. 5, 1926, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Douglas Kennedy of Snowflake, Ariz., and Larry Kennedy of Las Vegas; two daughters, Tina Romeo of Las Vegas and Sandy Trumbo of Henderson; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to a 9 a.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
