President George Bush tends to give his same old speech in front of select, controlled audiences. His message is always based on 9/11 and the threat of terrorism. I guess this is the message that Karl Rove says he has to keep echoing time and time again in order to maintain support from his base. One of these days, even those in his base will realize how hollow, worn and trite his message has become to America.
The Bush administration has been in power four and a half years now, but it has failed to address the problems facing 90 percent of the population. For the low man on the totem pole, life has become worse. Our infrastructure continues to deteriorate. The environment gets worse. The rising Red Star in the East, China, will become a far greater danger than that ever presented by Saddam Hussein.
President Bush needs to answer the perennial question answered by all presidents: What is your vision for America and its citizens?
